Dog training in Huntington Beach that meets you where you are—and gets you where you want to go
The Right Help for Real-Life Dogs in Orange County
You love your dog. You just need the right plan—one that works in real life: the beach path, the patio café, the school drop-off, and those busy sidewalks on Main. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by leash reactivity, jumping, barking, anxiety, or a puppy who’s cycling through “cute” and “chaos” every hour, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place.
We help you turn daily stress into steady progress. Short, clear sessions. Hands-on coaching. Results you can see at home, on walks, and out in the world—without guesswork.

The Story That Serves You
Not a Biography
We started Beachside Dog Training with a simple conviction: dogs and people do best when training blends kindness with clarity—and when owners feel confident every step of the way. After years coaching families from Huntington Beach to all OC and LA, we saw the same pattern: dogs improved quickly, but the human side needed a better system.
So we built one.
Teach the teacher. We equip you to be calm, clear, and consistent.
Train for the day you live. Not for a perfect classroom—for your patio lunch rush at Pacific City and your kid’s soccer sidelines.
Make it simple. One plan. Short drills. Clear goals. Weekly adjustments.
That’s why our About page is really about YOU—and the life you want with your dog.
What Makes Us Different
Compare our approach with a typical one-size-fits-all method

| Local Context | Drills for beach paths, cafés, bikes/scooters, neighborhood events | Generic drills not tailored to OC life |
| Plan & Metrics | Written plan, measurable milestones, weekly proofing | Vague goals; inconsistent follow-through |
| Transfer & Maintenance | Board & Train includes thorough owner transfer + simple maintenance plan | Little to no transfer; results fade |

Client Testimonials
Our clients come to us looking for clarity, confidence, and real change—and their results speak for themselves. These stories show what’s possible when the right training plan meets consistent, compassionate coaching.
We had an exceptional experience with the board and train provided by Alison. We encountered challenges with leash pulling, as my dog exhibited nervousness around other dogs and unfamiliar environments. However, we have observed a significant improvement after training with Alison. She now feels more comfortable around other dogs and enjoys her walks without pulling. Recently, we took her to the dog park, where she engaged with other dogs, displayed increased curiosity, and explored the park independently rather than being tethered to our hip. We received regular updates from Alison, and we were able to view our dog’s activities on Splash’s Instagram stories, which alleviated our own anxieties. We express our gratitude to Alison and the Splash staff for their exceptional service, which we highly recommend.
Alison has been my go-to expert for years now, and she has helped me with multiple dogs. Most recently, she helped me with my rescue, Lola, who was fearful and therefore dog aggressive. It had gotten to the point where we avoided taking her to anywhere we thought could be crowded or might trigger her. After working with Alison, we can now go out in public, enjoy a coffee shop, and even go to a vet visit without worrying about Lola barking and lunging. She is so much more comfortable with other dogs, and her life—and mine—is much fuller. I cannot recommend Splash highly enough!

We were traveling and found Splash to board our boxer. Then we discovered they also offer board and training, so we signed him up, and I’m so glad we did. He is now much more willing to pay attention, sits calmly for longer, and waits at the door until we allow him to cross. I was honestly surprised by how much he learned in just one week. Of course, consistency is key, so we’re also learning how to keep up with the training and support his progress. Allison, the trainer, was absolutely amazing. She sent us videos and pictures throughout the week, and it was clear how much she truly cared for him. He received such great care at this place. Thank you, Splash, for making our travel plans so much easier. It’s such a relief knowing there’s a place where he’s loved and well cared for.
Alison knows what my dog needed right away. They provided solutions to all of my concerns for my dog's training. They also took good care of my dog while boarding him.

I have a wonderfully sweet, yet full of energy and enthusiasm, 18 month old golden retriever. Toast came back from a weeklong board & train with Alison, and wow, is she on a transformation journey! Her walk is 100% better! Where she used to pull like a maniac, she is mindful and well behaved. She’s learned to sit when greeting people (mostly! lol). We are still is working on self self-control, but she is worlds better! I’m so happy. Alison took time to train me after the conclusion of the week so that I could practice and work on building her skills and until her next week session.
